For many years I’ve felt that my weird sounding first name has caused recruiters to skip over my application - perhaps thinking I am based in India, need a visa, etc. - I am born and bred NYCRecently I decided to try applying with a new first name. I feel like I want to vomit. I’ve had a 15 year career in Product Management and I can’t seem to get my foot in the door in a lot of places. Recently I came across this article which confirms what I have felt for much of my career.
