LOUIS, MISSOURI, US — A 90-day pause to review tariffs for most US trading partners was welcomed by the American Soybean Association (ASA), which also registered concern that China, the world’s largest importer of the oilseed and top US market, was not included in the reprieve. The ASA described the pause for most trading partners as an opportunity for negotiations that could lead to consensus and potentially avoid permanent tariffs, along with improving market access for US agriculture.
