    Wyles, Pohl, and Thompson employed college psychology students using a picture-rating task examining the influence of litter on perceived restorative quality, and the psychological impact on coastal litter. Their analysis included qualitative and quantitative methods. Their hypothesis asked, how do we understand the psychological benefits of natural coastal environments? They wanted to discover the cost of threats of increased marine litter.
