A section of Redcar beach has been cordoned off by police following reports that a suspected explosive device had been found. The cordon was first reported at around 9.00pm on Saturday, August 24. The cordon remains in place on Sunday morning (August 25) near to Zetland Park roundabout. It's not the first time this year a possible explosive device has been found on the beach. A part of the beach was cordoned off in February, with the object later found to be safe.
