    The LPGA Tour is celebrating its 75th season in 2025. The ShopRite LPGA Classic has been around for more than half of those 75 years. Few LPGA events can say the same. Maja Stark, fresh off her U.S. Open win Sunday, will tee off Friday in the 54-hole, $1.75 million ShopRite LPGA Classic on the Bay Course at Seaview, a Dolce Hotel, in the township. The $1.75 million, 54-hole Classic began in 1986 and has been held every year since except for a three-year gap from 2007-09.

    EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Crews battled a house fire Thursday afternoon in which all occupants got out safely but a dog needed resuscitation, police said. The fire on Tudor Street occurred at 2:17 p.m. The initial report was for a porch fire, but police arrived to find the home engulfed in flames, the department said.

    Two Atlantic County men were charged in a SIM swapping scheme that had multiple victims across the United States, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday. Cory Kott, 35, of Mays Landing, was charged with identity theft, computer crimes, forgery, credit card crime, theft by deception and money laundering. Omar Lopez, 45, of Atlantic City, was charged with credit card crime and theft by deception.

    HAMMONTON — Chimney Rustic Ales, which has served beer in the city for five years, announced its closing date Wednesday. The brewery will hold a going-away party from noon to 10 p.m. June 14 at 15 Horton St. Owners Dan Borrelli and Kelly Andrews are moving their brewery to Philadelphia. "You should come help us kick some kegs in the meantime and say goodbye to the place where it all started," the brewery said in its social media post.
