Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is officially returning for a third season on Prime Video, Amazon confirmed in an announcement. The renewal of the blockbuster epic fantasy series doesn’t come as a huge surprise, as season 3 has been in development since at least last year, according to showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay.
