Mars has been moving towards the constellation Leo over the past few weeks. The red planet is now in the constellation Leo and is approaching the lion’s heart. Leo is a very prominent springtime star pattern. It is fairly easy to find as the stars that outline the lion’s head and mane make a large hook shape in the sky. Known as the Sickle, after a farming tool, it curves up from the bright star Regulus. This is the brightest star in Leo and marks the position of the lion’s heart.

Memorial Day is a time when Americans honor the men and women who served in the military and who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The legacy of many of those who gave their lives for their United States, unfortunately, has been forgotten. The legacy of Francis Xavier McGraw, one of America’s most decorated war heroes and arguably New Jersey’s greatest war hero, will never be forgotten because of the commitment of his niece and nephew, Susan and Steve McGraw.
