An Oct. 12 column from Editorials Editor Ginnie Graham ("Tribes recognize that politics doesn't belong in feeding hungry children") described a joint initiative between the Indigenous tribes located in Oklahoma and some private local organizations to feed children over the summer months after our esteemed governor rejected federal funds to do the same. In addition to the tribes, the supporting private organizations were listed.

Regarding to the letter “Vote explanation” (Sept. 22), the writer may claim to be voting for President Donald Trump's policies and not Donald Trump the man, but we will get Donald Trump the man and very few, if any, of the policies described. The writer's repeated statements that blame the Democrats for everything, claiming Trump will fix it all, appears to come exclusively from Fox News and other far-right, so-called sources.

Moms For Liberty should be named Moms Against Liberty. Its themes include claims that public schools and public educators are attempting to influence and sexualize children through a "radical Marxist agenda."That's just completely bonkers!While I agree parents need to be involved in their children's lives, including their schools, parents can't be left to decide what subjects are taught, how they are taught and what books are available.
