When researching this article, I pulled up the website of the Orange County School of the Arts. An Alumni Spotlight featured Sean Lee, an international violin soloist, class of 2005, and a protégé of virtuoso Itzhak Perlman. I grew up playing the violin and Perlman has long been my favorite fiddler. I heard him play around 1971 with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. How sad it was to hear a squabble over money with the Santa Ana Unified School district could close the school.
