In a recent op-ed by the CEO of Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), he seems to want to convince this community that RMHP is the same trusted nonprofit that historically served the Western Slope. In my opinion, in 2016 when RMHP was acquired by United Healthcare, the largest for-profit insurance company in the world, things changed. Since my appointment as president/CEO of Mind Springs Health (MSH) and West Springs Hospital (WSH) in August 2022, there have been 17 audits by state agencies.
