It's the heart of the NFL offseason, but the Shield always makes sure there's something to talk about. This week is all about the upcoming schedule release. The Cincinnati Bengals know exactly which teams they'll face in the 2025 regular season. They have 17 games against teams from the AFC East, NFL North, a couple of third-place clubs, and of course six games against the AFC North. Mickey Marotti got plenty of exposure to the Cincinnati Bengals' franchise quarterback as the Buckeyes' assistant athletic director for football sports performance, a title he's held for the last 13 years. Marotti also got a year's worth of being around Seth McLaughlin. The 2024 Rimington Trophy winner was OSU's center for 10 games last season.

Derek Carr made a difficult decision to retire from football , and the New Orleans Saints will move forward without their quarterback of the last two years. With Carr's sudden decision comes not just the on-field implications, but the business side of the game. Carr was under contract through the 2026 season and was set to make $40 million this year.
