It’s been a good day of work, but it's still a Monday. Time to wind down and watch some sports. It hit me when I went to look up the score for the Boston Red Sox, and then I remembered: it's still Monday. And I'm not the only one it's affecting. First, the final score was 14-2 - 14-2! - in a series-opening matchup with the red-hot Detroit Tigers. Boston’s starting pitcher Tanner Houck had a miserable night. I was born and raised in New Hampshire, which is where I live. There’s a ton of stuff to like about the state: the White Mountains, the rugged yet beautiful coastline, the complete lack of a sales tax. Don’t sleep on The Granite State, it's awesome. But I think I just found my favorite reason to call myself a citizen of New Hampshire. Maine Lobster Now conducted a survey in which it sought to find out which state loves pizza the most.

Michael Jordan - the unquestioned greatest basketball player of all time - is getting involved in the sport. NBC Sports announced on Monday that Jordan will join the network as a special contributor starting in October. The six-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer said he is excited to join the network that covered many of the top moments in his 15-year career. "I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC," Jordan said.
