Geoffrey Loverseed, aged 46, had been caught on CCTV as he stole laundry items and meat products from Tesco’s in Gatefold Road on April 16 and April 26. Loverseed, a prolific offender with multiple previous convictions, was spotted by an officer in Worksop on Saturday evening, and immediately fled.

Firefighters from Mansfield, Ashfield and Edwinstowe Fire Station attended the incident at Park Avenue in the early hours of April 21 after residents of another flat saw smoke issuing through the stairwell. The fire was found to be in the basement of the building, where sadly, a man in his 70s was also found.
