A feeling of triumph has been going around the Fufa headquarters in Mengo. This followed the decision by KCCA FC to withdraw its petition at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), filed against Fufa in March. Just as they finished in the regular season of the Nile Special rugby premiership, the top two clubs, Stanbic Black Pirates and KCB Kobs, each have one foot in the final already. Over the weekend, the two edged their first leg semifinals. But that was only just. Pirates beat the Platinum Credit Heathens 17-12 away at Kyadondo, while Kobs edged the Jinja Hippos 25-23 in their own Dam Waters backyard. The Pepsi University Football League concludes this Sunday, April 27 at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku. It is not something that Heathens’ full-back, Joseph Oyet will ever forget. But even before he came to that conclusion, what befell his team, when they met the Black Pirates in the regular season, was not something he had ever seen in rugby. For a team to be leading 31-09 against another with 20 minutes to play, then lose 31-33, still seems like horses flying, according to Oyet.

It is indeed time to stop the #GazaGenocide. How absurd it is that the #UK and the #USA are complicit in massacring innocent people of #Palestine. It is sad and gutwrenching.
