Villa will be returning to pre-season training on June 28. The purpose of this early return, considering that the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season does not kick off until mid-September, is to ensure that the team gets ample preparation, in order to have a good platform upon which to build a title-winning challenge for next season, according to coach Morley Byekwaso.

Yet, for the 21-year-old boxer, Ssenyange is just starting on his dream of becoming a boxing trailblazer.

A total of 25 Rugby Cranes players will fly out to Southern Africa today for a couple of test games. First stop will be Namibia, before continuing to South Africa, where they will face off with a few clubs from the number-one-ranked rugby nation. This is all part of the team’s preparation for the Rugby Africa Cup (RAC) in July. Uganda will be hosting the RAC for the second successive year. Of the eight teams last year, Uganda finished fifth, which in a way was inconsequential.
