Jamie Gunstone put Uplyme ahead midway through the first half but the visitors, playing down the slope, got back into the game to lead 2-1 despite some resolute defending.

All three of the local Peninsula League East teams were involved in the Second Qualifying Round of The Isuzu FA Vase on Saturday but only one of them went through to the next stage of the competition. Sidmouth Town were the successful side beating higher league opposition Wellington who members of the Western League 3-1. It was Wellington who went in front in the 19th minutes when a deep cross was played back across the goal before being headed past Elliot Driver.

Beer Albion put five past North Molton Sports (Image: Contributed) Taylor Rooke hit a hat-trick as Beer Albion put on a much- improved performance to take all three points in a 5-2 Devon League win at North Molton Sports. Beer created the better chances in an even first half with Billy Knox especially unlucky when he hit both posts. The scores were level 1-1 at the break before the home side went 2-1 in front against the run of play.
