    Seizure freedom has been a goal of epilepsy treatment for >25 years, but rates of seizure freedom have changed little during this time. Uncontrolled FBTCS are the greatest risk factor for SUDEP. Adjunctive cenobamate treatment is associated with rapid and sustained rates of freedom from FBTCS in drug-resistant focal epilepsy patients. Effective prescribing practices and clear communication can help patients attain seizure freedom and significantly reduce their risk of SUDEP.

    After postponing their game against the Cochrane Generals, Nov. 23, the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings defeated the Rocky Mountain House Rams 4-3 the following day at the Strathmore Family Centre. “I think it is better safe than sorry when the road conditions are that bad – so we will have to reschedule that game, so the boys got an extra night with no game to rest up and only had the one game this weekend,” said Doug Raycroft, head coach of the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings.

    The Town of Strathmore hosted discussions regarding Land Use Amending Bylaw 24-14, being the bylaw about garden and garage suites, during the July 3 regular meeting of council. Administration has recommended that council proceed with second and third readings of the bylaw, as it will provide support for more, as well as different types of housing to meet local residency needs.

    Karley Clark is the recipient of the 2024 Strathmore Times Class Act award at Strathmore High School. She, along with many of her peers and classmates, were recognized for their respective achievements during the SHS award ceremony, which took place June 6. “I was definitely very happy and quite proud of myself – it definitely felt good,” said Clark.
