METHODSParticipants. This was a randomized controlled feasibility study of 52 patients with gout. The participants were recruited from rheumatology clinics between December 2021 and April 2022. Inclusion criteria were patients who (1) were aged ≥ 18 years; (2) had a rheumatologist-confirmed diagnosis of gout; (3) were prescribed allopurinol; (4) owned a smartphone; and (5) were English-speaking.
