MARSHALL - The mantra "If you build it, they will come" popularized by the 1989 film "Field of Dreams" came to fruition May 27 in the Laurel community. On that Tuesday night, the Laurel Community Center hosted Madison County Youth League Baseball games, its first games at the field in roughly 10 years. Before the May 27 games, the last time there were baseball games at the Laurel Community Center fields was in 2015. Cheoah Landis is the administrator of Laurel Community Center Organization.
