History supports President Donald Trump’s use of tariffs to protect domestic businesses and stimulate the U.S. economy. Washington state would do well to align with Trump’s policy and support its businesses. While we acknowledge the uproar heard around the country over the strong tactics the president used while implementing his policies in his first 100 days, it will take time to see these efforts come to fruition.
