The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) launched the world’s first burn nursing specialty certification one year ago and reports that there are now nearly 500 practicing nurses with the CBRN credential in both civilian and military settings, including many flight nurses. On 23 September 2024, ARTS started technical crew training for four Namibians destined to become SAR winch crew. Ian Bonthrone, Managing Director of ARTS, stated that this was a first for the country of Namibia. The four students have previously completed initial crew resource management, fire and smoke, survival and dinghy drills, and helicopter underwater egress training (HUET) with compressed air emergency breathing system (CAEBS) prior to commencing ground school.

Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first H175 helicopter to the aviation force of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (GZP). It will join GZP’s fleet, which already includes two H145 helicopters that were delivered in 2016 and 2019, and have accumulated a total of 3,200 flight hours.
