The Jackrabbit baseball team remains a late riser in the Summit League after winning three of four games against North Dakota State this past weekend. The Jacks moved into the fifth seed with the series win and now sit just one game shy of Omaha for a spot in the Summit League tournament. “We played pretty well in every aspect,” said SDSU head coach Rob Bishop. “We’ve been trending in the right direction, but we made it show up on the scoreboard this week.

South Dakota State took home their first conference series victory this past weekend, taking two out of three games against the Omaha Mavericks. The Jacks look to carry that newfound momentum into the Twin Cities this weekend, where they will face the conference-leading St. Thomas Tommies. The first game of the 3-game series starts today at 3 p.m., with two games on Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. All three games will be streamed through Midco Sports Plus.

The Jacks move ahead in the conference schedule this weekend with a home series against the Omaha Mavericks starting tomorrow at 3 p.m. Friday’s contest will also include a dedication for the new turf on Erv Huether Field.

The South Dakota State baseball team closed out the weekend series with a win over St. Thomas to avoid the sweep. The Jacks will take on rival North Dakota State in Fargo this upcoming weekend in a three-game series starting tomorrow at 3 p.m. All three games can be viewed on the Summit League Network. Game One (UST 13, SDSU 9)SDSU’s first game of the three-game series against the Tommies started on a low note as the Jacks allowed nine unanswered runs to start Friday’s contest.
