The Federal Reserve leaves the door open for a September rate cut. I'm Lisa Bernhard with Reuters, and joining me today is Mike Mucio of FBB Capital Partners. Mike, the Federal Reserve just concluded its latest two day policy meeting. What did you make of the Fed's statement? What was different in the language and tone this time around? The tone is shifting a little bit more from inflation, which has been the big concern on everybody's mind for the last couple years.

Captain Kirk loves to make albums. After a long hiatus after the release of the cult/outsider music favourite The Transformed Man in 1968, he recorded Has Been in 2004, an album that had an unexpected alt-rock radio hit with his cover of Pulp’s Common People, William Shatner’s music output has been prolific, especially since 2011. If you’re counting, he now has a dozen albums, not counting compilations and bootlegs.

PARIS - Liu Yang flexed his muscles to successfully defend his Olympic title in the rings final on Sunday, earning China their long-awaited first gold medal in gymnastics at the Paris Games. The 29-year-old scored 15.300 points, edging out compatriot Zou Jingyuan's 15.233. Silver medallist Zou had been the top qualifier for the final, with Team Japan head coach Hisashi Mizutori calling the Chinese gymnast's rings routine "beautiful, powerful and inimitable".
