Styx have announced their 18th studio album, Circling from Above, and have released the lead single, “Build and Destroy.”The album arrives everywhere July 18th, but fans can score a vinyl/CD copy early at Styx’s merch table starting Wednesday (May 28th) at the band’s tour kickoff show in Greenville, South Carolina, or via their online shop. The co-headlining trek with REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin runs through late August, and you can get tickets here.

Chevelle have announced their 10th studio album, Bright as Blasphemy, arriving August 15th via Alchemy Recordings. The Illinois alt-metal vets also dropped a new song, “Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2),” the sequel to the album’s previously released lead single “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1).” The forceful track touts thick groove-metal riffs and an inspired performance from singer-guitarist Pete Loeffler, who puts his falsetto to work across the five-minute runtime.

Rise Against have announced their first new album in over four years, Ricochet, arriving August 15th via Loma Vista Recordings. The Chicago punk rockers also offered up a new single, “I Want It All,” a rousing three-minute tune built on raw guitar riffs and a lively performance from frontman Tim McIlrath. His impassioned shouts of self call-and-response — “Do you want it all? / Yeah, I want it all!” — anchor the song’s anthemic chorus.
