Amongst a flurry of final enforcement actions in the last days of Lina Khan’s FTC, the agency announced an enforcement action against General Motors and OnStar, and its roadside assistance subsidiary. The proposed order bans GM and OnStar from sharing precise geolocation and driver behavior data to consumer reporting agencies for a period of five years.

Autonomous-weapons systems startup Anduril announced plans to build a $1 billion “hyperscale” factory in Columbus, Ohio. Named “Arsenal-1,” the sprawling 5 million-square-foot, airport-adjacent factory complex will be optimized for “the mass production of autonomous systems and weapons,” according to the company’s press release. The company said the factory is expected to create 4,000 jobs.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit against auto-insurance company Allstate yesterday, alleging that the company and its subsidiary vehicle-data unit Arity “conspired to secretly collect and sell ‘trillions of miles’ of consumers ‘driving behavior’ data from mobile devices, in-car devices, and vehicles.” The complaint alleges that Allstate compiled the “world’s largest driving behavior database,” which it used to justify insurance-premium increases based on a driver’s history.

Meta may be the biggest beneficiary of TikTok’s existential woes. After arguments at the Supreme Court today, which made the impending ban of TikTok appear to be more likely, Meta’s stock swung from down 2% to as much as 3% higher. Shares ended the day with a decent gain despite the swoon in the broader market.

A hacking group recently revealed that it had breached the location-data company Gravy Analytics and exfiltrated sensitive location data on millions of users. A leaked sample of the data has revealed a list of thousands of apps which allegedly leaked this data. Some of the apps in the list included Candy Crush, Tinder, MyFitnessPal, Disney Magic Kingdoms, FuboTV, and AccuWeather: Weather Radar.
