Cheltenham Civil Service have parted company with manager Lawrence Martin following their relegation from the Gloucestershire County League. The former Cheltenham Saracens Development coach took over last summer and Service finished one place off the bottom of the table at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Manager Michael Flynn has "the right personality for Cheltenham Town", according to chairman David Bloxham. The Welshman was appointed to the top job at Whaddon Road last June, having previously been in charge of Newport County AFC, Walsall, and Swindon Town. Cheltenham had just been relegated from League One, and there was an almost complete overhaul of staff and players during the summer.

Chairman David Bloxham says Cheltenham Town’s search for new investment is “developing very nicely”, with a resolution possible before the end of next season. Unable to divulge specific details due to non-disclosure agreements, Bloxham confirmed there has been further interest since he last provided an update at a fans’ forum on March 26. “I am hugely encouraged by the momentum of what is happening,” he said.
