Virginia Retirement System has backed True Green Capital’s latest infrastructure with a $100m (€88m) capital commitment.
The pension fund disclosed in a meeting document that it has committed the capital to True Green Capital Fund V, a fund with a $1bn fundraising target.
True Green Capital’s Fund IV reached a final close in June 2022, raising $660m.

Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) has disclosed its investment pacing plans for 2025, targeting commitments of $400m to $750m (€352m to €660m) for its real estate portfolio and up to $1bn for its real assets portfolio.
The Oregon State Treasury disclosed in a board meeting document that the pension fund plans to make three to six real estate commitments in 2025, each ranging from $100m to $150m.

Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions has approved a commitment of $60m (€53.2m) Townsend Group’s latest diversified real estate fund.
The pension fund disclosed in a board meeting document that it had committed the capital to Townsend Real Estate Capital Solutions IV.
The fundraising target for Capital Solutions IV is currently unknown.
The San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund also recently committed $25m to the fund.

NGP Energy Capital Management, an energy and natural resources investor, is seeking $750m (€660.4m) for its latest fund, according to Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System’s board meeting document.
The pension fund disclosed in the meeting document that it approved a $75m commitment to NGP Royalty Partners III last month.
NGP Energy’s Fund II, the previous fund in the series, closed at $527m in May 2023, focusing on oil and gas royalties.

Virginia Retirement System has approved a $250m (€225.5m) commitment to a newly created real estate separate account with Hamilton Lane, according to the pension fund’s board meeting document.
The pension fund has made the initial commitment to the Hamilton Lane VA Real Estate SMA, a separate account that will invest in real estate fund managers managing funds of less than $1bn, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund has made $100m (€92.4m) worth of commitments to Kayne Anderson Real Estate and Virtus Real Estate Capital-managed US funds, completing a residential real estate request for proposal it issued in October of last year.
The pension fund said it has made a $50m commitment each into the Kayne Attainable Housing Fund I and the Virtus Real Estate Capital Fund IV funds.

Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) has made a $425m (€393.1m) commitment to opportunistic US real estate via an Axonic Capital fund and a new separate account managed by Principal Real Estate Investors.
The pension fund told IPE Real Assets that it had made a $200m commitment directly into Taconic CRE Dislocation Fund IV, with an additional $75m commitment to co-invest alongside the fund.
The fund’s manager, Axonic Capital, did not respond to a request for comment.

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Kentucky is investing $100m (€93m) in US data centre assets via TA Digital’s debut fund.
The pension fund disclosed in a board meeting document that it has allocated $85m from the Retirement Annuity Trust of Kentucky and $15m from the Health Insurance Trust to TA Digital Real Estate I.
TA Digital, TA Realty’s recently data centre development data and operations arm, declined a request for comment.
