Memo to Trump, Kennedy, and Kristi Noem, new appointee to head up Homeland Security—I’ve now come across two reports about the ongoing tragedy and crime in Western North Carolina (WNC). People STILL living in tents. FEMA not coming across with money and shelter. Regardless of your position on the war in the Ukraine, it’s disgusting and maddening to see billions of dollars going to support the Ukraine AND pittances or nothing going to these families in North Carolina (and I assume Florida).

You might recall the 1980 Surprise. Reagan running against Carter. The Reagan team was accused of making a deal with the government of Iran to hold on to American hostages until after the election. Because, if Jimmy Carter could secure their release just before Election Day, he could be swept back into office on a tide of enthusiasm. The hostages were released, just after Reagan was inaugurated. Now, in 2024, there are strong possibilities for another Surprise.

In a recent video interview, Kennedy was pressed on children undergoing transgender treatments. At first, Kennedy declared that children should not be allowed to receive these treatments without parents’ permission. That seems to imply he would approve of the medical treatment as long as parents approve. The interviewer jumps on the attack. Kennedy then says (amazingly, pleading ignorance) that he doesn’t know enough about the transgender drugs involved. He repeats this for emphasis. What??
