ISOLATED STORM CHANCES SUNDAY. SATURDAY. THE BETTER CHANCE OF STORMS ARRIVES ON SUNDAY. SO LET’S TALK ABOUT THE BETTER CHANCE FOR THOSE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS NOT GOING TO BE FOR TODAY. EVEN THOUGH WE’RE RIGHT IN SANDWICHED IN BETWEEN TWO SYSTEMS FARTHER TO THE NORTH AND TO THE SOUTH.

    Another warm start to the day with 60s and 70s. We will have more clouds today with some storms over Iowa this afternoon. Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts These storms will be more isolated in nature where most of the state will stay dry. Temperatures will stay in the 80s and 90s for the afternoon, but we shouldn’t get as hot as yesterday. The severe weather threat is low today with the strongest storms expected to be north of Hwy 20. There isn’t any significant temperature drop in the coming days.

    It is a mild start to the morning after a warm day yesterday.Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts We will climb even higher with highs into the 90s this afternoon, the first time this year. Humidity will add a muggy feel, so make sure to stay hydrated through the day. We have a stationary front that’s positioned to the north and will allow some storms to form this afternoon and evening. The best chance for storms will be along the Highway 20 corridor and farther north.

    We are starting off the work week in the 50s, but will warm up into the 70s for the afternoon. Upper level smoke will stick around which will cause some filtered, hazy sun through this afternoon. We will also have a northwest breeze around 12 to 18 mph, keeping temperatures below averageWe will be dry and sunny for Tuesday and Wednesday as well as summer temperatures.

    We are dry across the state this morning, but we will have increasing clouds through the morning and become partly sunny this afternoon. Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts Temperatures will be similar to yesterday with winds staying relatively weak. There will be a chance for some light showers, but they will stay mostly to the west of I-35. Rain chances will climb for the days to come with the best chances this weekend.
