It isn’t as cold this morning with 40s and 30s over Iowa.Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts There are some isolated showers possible though the morning. However, there is a fairly deep dry layer to overcome in order for these rain drops to hit the ground. Most of the state will stay dry, but some of us will see some brief light showers. This afternoon could pop a few isolated storms as well, but even that doesn’t seem very likely.

It is a dry but much cooler start to the week. Interactive Radar | Weather Alerts A cold front has passed over which will lead to a breezy north wind for most of the day which will prevent temps from climbing very much. It will be a deceivingly sunny day with the windchill in the 30s and low 40s through the afternoon. The winds will calm down overnight and the southerly wind will return for Tuesday. The wind shift will aid the warm up as highs will climb into the 50s tomorrow.
