    NEW ORLEANS – Saints linebacker Pete Werner won the Zurich Celebrity Shootout for the third consecutive season. Werner and former New Orleans punter Thomas Morstead were the pair that got it done. Recently signed Black and Gold safety and Dutchtown grad Justin Reid was the other Saints player who participated. He was paired with legendary sportscaster Chris Berman. Despite it not being a football field, the competitive edge was still there.

    NEW ORLEANS – Delgado swept Baton Rouge Community College in a doubleheader, topping the Bears 8-0 in Game 1 and 2-1 in Game 2. The Dolphins had no problem taking care of business in the first game, but ran into some trouble in the second contest. Delgado trailed Baton Rouge CC 1-0 in the sixth, and after tying the game up, former Brother Martin Crusader Frank Randol hit an RBI single to give the Dolphins the lead and ultimately clinch the win. With the victories, Delgado clinched the series.
