SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va . (WVVA) - For the second-straight year, the South Cardinals take down the North Bears in the annual North-South football All-Star game in South Charleston. The Cardinals came out of the gates flying, with a big opening kickoff from Ronnie Staley to set up Sai’Vyon Brown’s touchdown to lead 6-0. Offenses would stall out a bit until right before halftime, but the Bears looked to be going for a field-goal attempt. However, Brandon Poticher had other ideas.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WVVA) - After falling in last year’s Class 2 doubles state title match, the Richlands duo of Jack Clem and Cooper Hurst came back with vengeance this season. The Richlands doubles duo would take home the Class 2 state title this time around at Liberty University, defeating Cole Howard and Hank Schroeder of Floyd County in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-2.

BUFFALO, W.Va . (WVVA) - Southern West Virginia represented quite well Thursday at Buffalo High School in the Region All-Star games. Region 3 took home a second-straight All-Star championship after defeating Region 4, 7-4, in the first game and then going on to defeat Region 2, 14-13, where Aubrey Smallwood delivered the walk-off two-RBI single and Acasia Cook scored the game-winning run.
