Janice Mary “Jan” Grundmeyer, 85, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away surrounded by family, on Friday, June 6,2025, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on October 14, 1939, in Dubuque, the daughterof Cleon and Katherine (Klaus) Puff. Jan was raised in Earlville and then attended school in Dubuque. She finishedher education at Dundee High School graduating with class of 1957. Jan then attended Iowa State Teachers Collegein Cedar Falls.

David Ray Hatch, 68, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his home. He was bornon July 4, 1956, in Manchester, the son of Chester and Mary Ann (Wulfekuhle) Hatch. He was raised in Manchesterand was a 1974 graduate of West Delaware High School. Dave worked on the line at the Ertl Toy Company for several years and also worked at several other jobs. His mostrecent job was delivering the Gazette newspaper. Dave enjoyed watching all sports.

Anamosa fell to Alburnett 5-1Western Dubuque downed Waverly-Shell Rock 7-0 and 15-0In baseball-The Hawks of West Delaware overcame a 5-run fifth inning deficit by scoring 8 in the fifth and held on to win 10-9. Independence lost two to Western Dubuque, 7-4 and 9-5. North Linn roughed up Monticello 16-2 in 4innings.
