Metallica has teamed up with Virginia Tech for a new line of merchandise!The metal legends will have their logo featured on a line of items that also features the artwork of Virginia Tech artist Steven White. The band’s “Enter Sandman” has been featured as a walkout song for the university’s Lane Stadium since 2000. “This partnership makes a dream of nearly 24 years come true,” Heather Ducote, senior director of marketing and brand management, said in a statement.

Linkin Park surprised fans with a mysterious countdown clock on their website and social media accounts. The clock is set to reach zero on Wednesday, August 28th. It’s (obviously) not known what Linkin Park has planned, but it could be a return to the stage – the band has not performed live since October of 2017, when it held a tribute concert to late frontman Chester Bennington.

You’ll have to buy a book to hear the final song from Alex and Eddie Van Halen. Alex Van Halen will debut that song for the audiobook release of his upcoming memoir, “Brothers.”The book will feature the brothers’ final song together, simply called “Unfinished.”According to the book’s publisher, HarperCollins, the song is “the last piece of music they wrote together” before Eddie’s death in 2020. “Brothers” will be released on October 22.

Sad to hear of this – the couple times I got to meet the guys, they were always accommodating and fun!One of my favorite bands of the late 80’s/ early 90’s. In fact, Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider is sticking up for the late Great White lead singer Jack Russell. Russell passed away on Thursday at 63 years old. Snider wrote on social media, “RIP Jack Russel. This man was vilified for a situation out of his control and tortured by the memories. He was not evil. And man could he sing.
