JOHNSON COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - Students who remember going to Hillsdale School, or what was known as District 66 in Johnson county, recently visited the former school’s grounds to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and share memories. The flagpole is the only thing left to truly identify where the Hillsdale School was, as the building itself is no longer there. “We realized the flagpole was still there, so we thought we should raise the flag and say the Pledge,” former student JoAnn Trout said.

SEWARD, Neb. (KOLN) - A special ceremony called the “annual remembrance” is coming up on Sunday, May 25 at the Heartfelt Children’s Memorial, to honor children who’ve passed away all too soon. ODELL, Neb. (KOLN) - A restored building in downtown Odell is the town’s new library, and board members hope it will be used for much more than checking out books. We checked in with Joyce Kostal to talk about the library. She is the Odell Public Library board president. “In 2017, we decided that our town needed a library,” Kostal said. “We started by sharing a space with a local trails museum, but it wasn’t quite a year when we realized we were a little too big for that.
