At the Academy Awards earlier this month, Palestinian filmmaker Hamdan Ballal was honored with his co-directors for their documentary “No Other Land,” chronicling the Israeli government’s destruction and takeover of Palestinian land in the West Bank. The same night, his village was the site of an attack by settlers. In the weeks since, settlers have continued to return to his village, Khirbet Susya in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Betar U.S. said it has shared with the Trump administration a list of the “names of hundreds of terror supporters.”On January 29, Palestinian organizers in New York City gathered at a park for a vigil to mourn the one-year anniversary of the death of Hind Rajab, a 6-year-old killed last year alongside her family and paramedics by the Israeli military in Gaza. At Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan, attendees laid candles, alongside photos and art of Rajab.

On Friday, federal officials ordered prominent activist and Cornell University graduate student Momodou Taal to surrender to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody, Taal’s attorneys confirmed to The Intercept. Taal, a dual Gambian and British citizen in the U.S. on a student visa, is currently suing the Trump administration to block its targeting of international students protesting in support of Palestinian rights.
