The dramatic situation between Drogheda United and UEFA over their eligibility for the Europa Conference League drags on as both parties are in talks over a resolution due to Drogs being a part of a multi-club ownership scheme. Drogheda were bought by US-based Trivela Sports Group in 2023, who also own. Walsall in England and crucially for this situation Danish side Silkeborg IF. Drogheda had qualified to the qualifying rounds of the Europa Conference League after winning the FAI Cup last year.

Munster were knocked out of the URC playoffs in the most heartbreaking fashion on Saturday as they loss in a penalty shoot-out to the Sharks after drawing 24-24 after extra-time. It was a tense 100 minutes during the game but the tensions reached a boiling point during the penalty shoot-out. It all started after the very first kick when Jaden Hendrikse had some words for Jack Crowley after scoring his first penalty, earning himself a warning from the referee Mike Adamson.

It's fair to say Leinster didn't set the world on fire in their 33-21 win over the Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. Despite a comfortable-looking scoreline, the game was anything but comfortable for Leinster fans. After a fast start and two quick tries from James Lowe and Jamison Gibson-Park, it looked like Leinster would cruise to yet another URC semifinal.

Sligo Rovers midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes is suing his former club Hibernians over an injury he suffered after a tackle from then manager Lee Johnson. Doyle-Hayes, who hails from Cavan originally came through the Aston Villa academy before moving up to Scotland to play for St. Mirren in 2020. Then just a year later he moved to Hibernians in Edinburgh.
