Twas the day before the NFL Draft, and all around the Internet, the prognosticators and pontificators tidied up their mocks in the hopes that they would be the best pretend drafter of them all. Every person who is or claims to be an NFL Draft expert has been releasing their final mock drafts in the days leading up to the real thing. We read them all to hold us over knowing full well we'll forget every single one of them by the time all the real picks are completed Saturday afternoon.

Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan held a press conference with about a week until the 2025 NFL Draft. He answered questions from the media about the team's process and the strategies they have going into the event. The first real question was one that always piques the interest of fans. When asked about trading down, Morgan said the team is definitely going to be listening to offers for the eighth overall pick.

Lots of rosters are filled with short term contracts, and the ones that look like longer term pacts are usually shorter deals in disguise. Teams are often forced to let players go more because of cap ramifications than on field ability, so these players often quickly find new homes.
