"Resident Alien" is a peculiar series, as it's unusually uplifting for a sci-fi show about an alien initially intent on killing all humans. One thing that remains a constant is the gorgeous scenery in and around the fictional town of Patience, Colorado, where the show is set. From the start, the viewer is introduced to picturesque mountain cabins, and the beautiful backdrop of the Colorado Rocky Mountains snow-capped peaks.

This included massive tanks, humongous artillery, and the designs for a gargantuan bomber.

Soon after people figured out how to power a vehicle and fly through the sky, accidents quickly followed. The Wright Brothers first flew in 1903, and by September 1908, a Wright Flyer crashed, killing an Army observer and seriously injuring Orville Wright. The Army Air Corps had its fair share of accidents, and they continued when it was renamed the U.S. Air Force.
