(NEW YORK) -- A man apparently set himself on fire outside the New York City courthouse where former President Donald Trump is on trial. It was not immediately clear if the incident was related to the criminal proceedings. Trump is facing felony charges related to a 2016 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. It marks the first time in history that a former U.S. president has been tried on criminal charges. The trial began on Monday with jury selection.

York RUFC defeated Blackburn in the Papa John Community Cup. Pic: David Scott/Blackburn RUFC York travelled to Blackburn for the first of what should have been three games, in the first round of the Papa John Community Cup. The other two matches were to be against Harrogate and Driffield, but Harrogate have decided not to participate. York’s preparation was not ideal the coach getting stuck on the M62 and not arriving until 2.30 so the game kicked off at a delayed 3.30.

York RUFC dropped off of top spot after a 37-13 defeat to Scunthorpe. Pic: Rob Long YORK RUFC travelled to Lincolnshire knowing that victory was required to put their faltering promotion challenge back on track against a side they had beaten easily in the home fixture in November. Although they are still on the top of the table, York no longer had a points cushion on the sides just below them and any slip up would send York down the table.

YORK RUFC got their Regional 1 North East season back on track with a 25-5 victory at home to Ilkley. In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, York managed a narrow victory by just one point, and were helped in no same measure by Ilkley both conceding 14 penalties in the second half and having three players yellow-carded. With two defeats since Christmas seeing their lead at the top of the table diminish, the game certainly provided some welcome tonic for the hosts.
