Summary Love Hurts is a fun ride with Ke Huy Quan making for an appealing lead and there are some impressive fight sequences as we’d expect from 87North. There are a couple of pointless supporting characters, but it doesn’t detract from the entertainment factor. Plot: A realtor is pulled back into the life he left behind after his former partner-in-crime resurfaces with an ominous message.

Summary The Killer’s Game delivers the action goods with memorable turns from all the cast and it’s great to see Scott Adkins on the big screen. There’s plenty of action and it’s well paced making this well worth checking out. Plot: A veteran assassin is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself. After ordering the kill, an army of former colleagues pounce and a new piece of information comes to light. Insanity ensues.

Summary The Retirement Plan has an impressive cast who all do their best with the material and there are a few fun action scenes but it’s not especially memorable and feels like it’s trying too hard to be a Guy Ritchie movie Plot: When Ashley and her young daughter Sarah get caught up in a criminal enterprise that puts their lives at risk, she turns to her estranged father Matt, currently living the life of a retired beach bum in the Cayman Islands.
