There are over 100 athletes from the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal areas competing and several athletes and teams that may find themselves in contention for a state title.

Dunlap's Owen Shissler threw a no-hitter, Normal Community avoided an upset in a highly unusual finish to a 12-inning marathon and Limestone took down East Peoria to lead the way in Class 3A/4A regional baseball action.
