This should be pretty simple to clear up. Seems odd that neither Fox nor DOGE have released said "emails and contract" so we can all judge the veracity of the claims.

Actually Steve Davis, who works with Musk at DOGE, corrected it in the interview saying that the online survey was part of an $830 million contract by the Department of the Interior that DOGE stopped.  We saw the internal emails and contract that was stopped to back that up.
