Canada and the United Kingdom ("UK")have a long history of trade and investment agreements and havemaintained an influential trade relationship throughout thathistory. Following the UK's announcement that it would bewithdrawing from the European Union("EU") in January of 2020("Brexit"), the future of that traderelationship became uncertain, to the concern of importers andexporters. However, neither Canada nor the UK was willing to lettheir web of historical trade agreements untangle easily.
