We fondly remember the times when the drone was an exciting new toy that enabled beautiful aerial shots we could share on social media, ways for film crews to get exceptional footage without recourse to a cumbersome helicopter.

Lacuna formed in 2016 when the only satcoms service available were the options of last resort and therefore high-cost, high-power and proprietary. The concept of founding Lacuna was to take existing low-power protocols and build battery powered satcom devices that would work in remote places for many years from a single charge. More than that, it was also about breaking away from restrictive traditional practices previously used in the Space industry.

Burns, as the plowman, destroys the nest of a mouse who then has no resources or wherewithal to rebuild it over the winter. Burns, as the plowman, rues his own plans that have often gone awry. The mouse is the lucky one as it has no concept of the past or the future and lives only in the present. The man, on the other hand, understands past predicaments and future dreads.
