Plans have been submitted for more than 80 houses in Wombourne on greenfield land. Currently South Staffordshire District Council are unable to demonstrate a four year housing supply and therefore there is a presumption in favour of development. The land of Pool House Road, around 2.2 hectares of developable land, is currently greenfield land which has been removed from the greenbelt. It was also included in the draft local plan for future residential development.
