Expensive? McDonald’s? Have you noticed that everything seems to be getting more and more expensive these days? Whether it’s due to inflation, or worse shrinkflation it seems like everywhere you look you’re getting less and less for your buck. Add McDonald’s to that mix as they have gone from one of the cheapest places to get a quick bite to one of the most expensive. In fact according to Business Insider the prices of a meal at McDonalds has risen by 100% in the last 10 years.

This week a story went viral showing the difference in McDonald’s menu prices and how much they’ve risen in just over the past ten years. According to Business Insider prices for all fast food chains have risen dramatically over the past 10 years but McDonald’s has been particularly egregious. For instance, Wendy’s has gone up 55%. Taco Bell has gone up by 88%.

Americans are a special group. We take pride in our indepenence, our ingenuity and apparently our skills at animal wildlife fightin’. I personally once woke up to the site of a Grackle in my bedroom and ran face first into a wall trying to get away from it. But I’m a special kind of coward compared to most Americans apparently. And I know this because Yougov commissioned a poll and found that a lot of Americans think they could fight lions, tigers and bears. Oh my….GOD.

Last week I wrote an exhaustive list of the best movies set in or filmed in Massachusetts. You can check that out here. I enjoyed making the list even though I wound up with hundreds of movies and it was a real challenge to pair it down to just 16. I thought this week I’d explore the small screen and look at the best TV shows set in Massachusetts, thinking, stupidly, that that would be easier. Boy was I wrong. Turns out there have been hundreds of tv shows set in Boston and Massachusetts.
