    Two brothers have spoken about how they were left in shark-infested waters when their scuba diving boat ‘abandoned’ them. Ian Kensington and Ryan Chaudhry say their charter boat left them for dead after it returned to shore while they were underwater. The duo were part of a group of 13 people offered a scuba diving experience by a tourist diving operator in Perth. It was only when they heard the sound of their boat’s engine firing up that they surfaced to see the boat returning to shore.

    A vehicle is on fire on one of Perth’s busy freeways, leaving the left lane blocked. Traffic is slow on the Kwinana Freeway northbound as emergency services work to douse the fire. Main Roads reported the incident about 1.55pm on Wednesday, near Karnup Road in Baldivis.

    At least six people are reportedly dead and nine others are believed to be injured after a tourist submarine sank off the coast of Egypt. According to the BBC, 29 others were rescued which including four people in critical condition who were transported to hospital. It is believed about 40 tourists were aboard the vessel called the Sindbad when it sank in the Red Sea off the coast of Hurghada. The Russian embassy in Egypt says all the passengers on the submarine were Russian.

    The left lane has been blocked following a crash on the Mitchell Freeway southbound. Multiple cars pulled to the side of the freeway near the Reid Highway exit. An image provided by Main Roads WA shows more than five people outside of their vehicles. Traffic is slow on approach and is being diverted through the median strip. Towing services are on site, and caution has been advised.
