Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has described the Club World Cup as "ridiculous" ahead of its new format launching this summer. The revamped inter-continental tournament, which is switching from a seven-team competition to one consisting of 32 sides, takes place in June. Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are among those competing in the enlarged inaugural edition.

Chelsea's goalless draw at Brentford marked an eighth consecutive away match without picking up a victory in the Premier League for the Blues. It is Enzo Maresca's side's longest winless run away from home in the top-flight since a 16-game run stretching between April 2000 and March 2001.

While Chelsea had 21 shots to Brentford's nine in the goalless draw between the two sides, the Bees had the better chances and based off them, should have taken three points. In the first half, Mikkel Damgaard was through on goal six yards out, but completely missed the ball when he only had Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to beat.

England's Mimi Rhodes will take a three-shot lead into Sunday's final round at the Joburg Ladies Open in South Africa. Rhodes, who entered her second round with a one-shot lead, carded a four-under-par 69 to move to -12 for the tournament and three shots clear of South Africa's Casandra Alexander and Lauren Walsh of the Republic of Ireland (both nine under).

India's KL Rahul (77) inspired Delhi Capitals as they continued their winning start to their Indian Premier League campaign with a 25-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in Chennai. Wicketkeeper-batter Rahul, scored 77 runs off 51 balls that included six fours and three sixes to give the Capitals their third win in as many matches. Batting first, the visitors got off to a poor start when opener Jake Fraser-McGurk was dismissed after five balls without scoring.
