    Things get strange in the new video from Perfume Genius, ‘No Front Teeth (feat. Aldous Harding)’.   The song is from Mike Hadreas’ newest release on Matador Records, ‘Glory’. The music video directed by Cody Critcheloe is a surreal study of violence and intimacy with Hadreas and Harding tussling through disturbing scenes and eating an enormous amount of waffles with syrup. Not for the light of heart, the images on screen capture the alienation of the song’s arrangement.

    Supergroup I’m With Her release the second single from their forthcoming album ‘Wild, Clear and Blue’.   I’m With Her is trio Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan. Between the three of them, they have seven Grammy wins and thirty-one nominations, a roots music force to be reckoned with.  The new tune ‘Find My Way to You’ features the three singers singing tight harmonies as they accompany themselves on fiddle, guitar and mandolin.

    Here’s some real world ropin’ and ridin’ from Texan Garret Bradford on ‘This Way of Life’.   This is a featured track from Bradford’s two-part release from H.O.T. Records,  ‘Honkiest of Tonkers’. Part one is available now and part two will be available on 11th April 2025.   Watchers of the television cowboy soap opera ‘Yellowstone’ will recognize this song from season three. A sparse acoustic guitar is the only accompaniment for the lyrics that lament the looming death of the cowboy way of life.
