Jerome Miron-Imagn Images Spencer Dinwiddie has always exuded confidence in his role and ability to contribute, but it would have been impossible last summer for the 32 year old guard to predict where his role with the Dallas Mavericks ended up this season. While his second stint in Dallas did not reach the levels they aimed for Dinwiddie seized opportunities to show he can still be a solid supporting guard for future contenders.

Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images When Dallas Mavericks general manager secretively plotted his trade with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, they needed a third team to help facilitate the cataclysmic workings to send beloved Luka Doncic to Los Angeles in exchange for Anthony Davis. Just remembering the Utah Jazz facilitated the trade that sent Luka to Los Angeles. Tonight the Jazz went from 1 to 5 in draft order, missing out on the chance to draft Cooper Flagg. The league is a cruel mistress.

So presumably, from 1998 to 2025 the Mavericks will have moved seamlessly from Dirk Nowitzki to Luka Doncic to Cooper Flagg. Incredible continuity. Incredibly white.
