The Flyers lost their 2024-25 season finale with a 5-4 decision Thursday night to the Sabres at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Matvei Michkov scored two of the Flyers' goals, while Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink had the other ones. The club's draft lottery odds were set with the loss (more on that below). The Flyers finished the season 33-39-10. The 76 points marked an 11-point drop-off from 2023-24, when the Flyers were knocked out of the playoff race on the final day of the season.

Here's who took home the honors:Travis Konecny - Bobby Clarke Trophy (Flyers MVP - selected by sportswriters and sportscasters) Konecny earned his second straight Team MVP award. The Flyers signed Alex Bump, a riser in their system, to his three-year entry-level contract Tuesday. The deal begins next season, so Bump will report to AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley for the remainder of this season. The 2022 fifth-round pick just won a national championship with Western Michigan. He led the Broncos in goals (23) and points (47) over 42 games and was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Forward of the Year.

The deal begins this season, so it sure looks like the 21-year-old winger is in line for his NHL debut Thursday when the Flyers wrap up the 2024-25 campaign on the road against the Sabres (7 p.m. ET/NBCSP). Karsen Dorwart, a free agent who the Flyers signed out of Michigan State, made his NHL debut 10 days ago.
